Long-range Forecast for every month of 2008
August looks like another month to head north with drier conditions here in Scotland and northern England, Ireland and north Wales but southern England is at risk from outbreaks of thundery rain. It will be rather warm in most places though night minima will show the greatest anomaly due to cloudy skies. The mercury may top 28C to 29C later in the month. September looks to be a warm month with some good spells of sunshine but not entirely settled. We could have 28C during the first week in the south. There will be some heavy rain at times in the west of Britain as low pressure positions itself to the south west of Ireland. Probably the driest weather will be in the north east of Scotland and in north east England.
